Robert I. DuMez

About Robert

Robert I. DuMez is a civil litigator, whose personal injury and commercial litigation clients include both plaintiffs and defendants. He has also handled scores of appeals, and continues to oversee the firm’s appellate practice.

A 1980 graduate (cum laude) of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Bob received his undergraduate degree from Vassar College in 1974. He has earned an “Av” rating (the highest level awarded) from the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory, the nation’s oldest lawyer-rating service.

In 2005, the Wisconsin Supreme Court appointed Bob to serve on the District 1 Committee of Wisconsin’s Office of Lawyer Regulation, and in 2008, reappointed him to another 3 year term. Bob has also been appointed to serve on the Kenosha County Condemnation Commission.

Bob enjoys teaching, as well as private practice, and has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Political Service Department of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, teaching a course in Constitutional Law.

Bob was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 1980, and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.

His community service includes a term on the Board of Trustees for the Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church, and volunteer work as a “Reading Buddy” at Kenosha’s Jeffrey Elementary School.
